Vitamin supplements have been largely debated since they appeared on our shelves. Do we actually need them? Can we get them from a well balanced diet? Aren’t most of them lost in our urine? In this post we take a look vitamin D.

Whilst the advantages of many vitamin supplements remain questionable, Vitamin D is regarded as one vitamin supplement that most people could do with. We all intend to do the best for our children. This can be difficult with so much information out there. The best way to arm yourself with good advice is to read the evidence base from reliable sources. Please note we were gifted a sample of Fultium Daily D3 for the purpose of this post. We have been taking them for a couple of weeks now as a family. Thankfully it has little to no taste and neither of the kids refuse it.

  1. Great review. Not enough sunlight always contributed to me being quite miserable when I lived in the UK. Now we are back in sunny South Africa and I am not as miserable! lol Thanks for linking up to #blogstravaganza

  2. I’ve been reading a lot about vit D and how we all could do with getting some more. I try to keep our diets balanced and get us all outside as often as possible. But I do think supplements can help when you’re not getting enough sun or you have fussy kids. Thanks for sharing with #fortheloveofblog

    • I’ve never been a fan of supplements if I’m honest, like you I try to make sure we get a balanced diet. But the more I’ve read a bout vitamin D the more I’m convinced that we need the supplements – especially in winter. Luckily we’re an outdoors family and get plenty of sunshine over the lighter months x
